Bonnie Pointer of The Pointer Sisters has died … TMZ has figured out.
The Grammy-successful Motown artist, who was at first aspect of the well-known quartet team of sisters in the ’70s, died this morning. Her sister, Anita, tells TMZ, “It is with great sadness that I have to announce to the fans of The Pointer Sisters that my sister, Bonnie died this early morning. Our family is devastated, on behalf of my siblings and I and the overall Pointer loved ones, we question for your prayers at this time.”
Bonnie was just one of the OG Pointer Sisters — which begun out as a duo, with her as 1 of the qualified prospects — but sooner or later left the group in the mid-1970s to pursue a productive solo profession. She’s probably ideal acknowledged for her include of “Heaven Need to Have Despatched You.”
