Dazed and Confused, the 1993 film that launched the careers of stars like Matthew McConaughey, is turning 25 this month. The decade-defining movie is set in 1976, and it follows a group of kids in Texas on their last day of high school. Hijinks ensue, with hazing, a keg party, and weed-smoking aplenty. Here’s what the cast has been up to in the two-and-a-half decades since the cult classic hit screens.

Dazed and Confused was Wiggins’ first film role, and he starred as freshman Mitch Kramer, little brother of Jodi Kramer. Mitch gets hazed by the seniors, but by the end of the night he’s hung out with Pink and his friend, smoked for the first time, and made out with sophomore Julie Simms.

Wiggins has acted in a few films since Dazed, and he currently runs his own blog. According to the New York Times, he also works in software, and his CV states that he’s expected to graduate from Austin Community College in spring 2019 with an Associate’s Degree in Applied Science, Game Development. The Wrap says that Wiggins has worked as a video game designer.

THEN: Shawn Andrews
Andrews’ Kevin Pickford was supposed to throw the end of school keg party, but his plans were ruined when his parents found out. Pickford was supposed to have a larger role. “He wasn’t really getting along with everybody. I could tell the actors weren’t responding to him,” director Richard Linklater told Maxim.
Co-star Jason London also told Maxim,“Shawn just didn’t want to interact with really anyone except Milla Jovovich.”

Andrews starred in 2008’s Fix with Olivia Wilde, a role that won him the Best Male Actor prize at the Brooklyn International Film Festival for the role that same year.

THEN: Milla Jovovich
Jovovich played Michelle Burroughs, the girlfriend of Kevin Pickford (played by Shawn Andrews). She was supposed to have a larger role in the film, but director Richard Linklater told Mashable, “It was this small part that I thought we would grow, but it didn’t really gel, and I could not deliver what I promised her.”
Jovovich and Andrews’s on-screen romance translated to an off-screen marriage. They were 16 and 21, respectively, and Jovovich’s mother had the marriage annulled two months later.

NOW: Milla Jovovich
Jovovich starred in the The Fifth Element after Dazed, and she’s most known for her work in the Resident Evil movie series. She starred in the original film in 2002, and reprised her role as Alice, a former security operative, in all five sequels.
She’s also been in both Zoolander films, and she’ll next appear in next year’s reboot of the Hellboy series.

Zellweger had a bit part in Dazed as Nesi White, and as Linklater told Mashable, “Renée doesn’t have a single line, but she’s everywhere.” She was almost cast in the role of Daria Marks, which later went to Parker Posey.

Zellweger has racked up an impressive number of trophies for her acting. She won an Academy Award, a BAFTA Award, three Golden Globe Awards, and three Screen Actors Guild Awards. The actress is perhaps best known for her work in the Bridget Jones series, and she came back to the role in 2016’s Bridget Jones’s Baby after a six-year hiatus from acting.

Dazed was one of Posey’s first films. She played cheerleading squad captain Darla Marks, who was all too eager to haze the freshmen. But while her character was the queen of mean, Christin Hinojosa, who played freshman Sabrina Davis, told Maxim, “Ben [Affleck] and Parker were among the nicest people on the set.”

We were on a pull trailer beyond the cameras, and I’ll be damned if Rory Cochrane didn’t pull out a real fatty and say, ‘Fuck it, man, it’s the last scene of the movie!'”
